In this Learning Journal you are required to answer the following three questions regarding ethics management and business practices. (1) Reflect on the activity completed in Topic 2 whereby you examined the number of slaves you have working for you. Critically reflect on your role in the ethical practices of business. This can include your role as a consumer, employee or investor. How do your behaviours affect sustainability? (2) Find an example in the media of a business which has experience a crisis (as discussed in Topic 8). Summarise the example, providing details of the organisation and the crisis. Critically analyse the organisation’s preparation and response to this crisis. Discuss any legal regulations which relate to the crisis. (3) Critically discuss how managers and leaders influence ethical behaviour in organisations. What legal obligations do managers have in relation to both internal and external stakeholders? In your answer select an organisation and analyse the policies and procedures in place to guide employee behaviour. As with Learning Journal (Part 1), the aim of this assessment task is to demonstrate your understanding of the content and theories through applying this in your responses. You should not directly quote any material; it needs to be your own ideas. You should post your answers to these questions in the Learning Journal (Part 2). It is suggested that you develop your responses within a word document and then copy and paste your answers into the Learning Journal. Overall, this Learning Journal should be 1500 words (excluding the reference list). This equates to approximately 500 words per question. All three questions are weighted equally.
